I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant since 2002.  I interned and worked at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC, as a Lactation Consultant from 2000-2007.  After seeing the need for home visit lactation support in 2009, I began supporting mothers and babies in the comfort of their own home.  I also carry a supply of hospital grade pumps and other breastfeeding support products to be able to provide complete support for breastfeeding mothers and babies.

A Birth or Labor Doula - (most commonly known) is dedicated to empowering the woman throughout her labor.  I am by the woman's side, offering continual support helping the mother stay relaxed and focused.  By staying relaxed, a woman is better able to deal with her contractions.  I can provide the laboring woman with a wide reange of comfort measures such as:  massage, breathing, birth ball positions, counter pressure, along with reassuring her that she can do this.  As a doula, I also aide the father, helping him remain confident of his role during the birthing process.
